Senior Transition Series - September 30, 2009

Kickoff, Continues Year Round With the Senior Class Council's leadership and working with Alumni & Development as well as the Career Center, we will be kicking off this new series of events starting September 30th. The Senior Transition Series will have four sessions spread out across the year with 2 sessions held each semester. Each session will dive into a topic that is directly relevant to our class as we transition out of college life and into the "real world".

The first session will be "Financial Planning" and will be lead by Wash U Alum Mark Hannah, LA98 and Financial Consultant at Paramount Planning, LLC. Join other Seniors and young alumni and learn how to invest in a down economy. Mark has been in the financial advising business for over 10 years. He is very familiar with the needs and concerns of the young alumni population and has become known in the business for his success in assisting young alums and professionals in protecting their money and building financial security as they transition into the working world. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. 6 to 8 pm, Wilson 214.

Future sessions being planned include a "Speed Networking" session with Wash U alum in different fields, a "What you didn't learn in school" session which will teach us things such as cooking, how to change a tire and how to dress for the business world and a "Senior Toast" to celebrate our time at Wash U and to prepare us for future involvement with the University after we graduate.
